Copywriting With VJB Edits
Copywriting is writing designed to encourage people to take action. Commonly used in marketing and communications, you’ll see it in things like ads, emails, websites, social media posts, and product descriptions.
Unlike general content writing – which may focus more on informing and entertaining and can be found on my Writing Portfolio page – copywriting is more about guiding and persuading an audience in a natural but engaging way, focussing on clear, approachable, and friendly language to make a message easy to understand and act on.
I have provided copywriting support to local charities, primarily creating engaging, approachable social media posts designed to connect with their audiences.
I have been writing in one form or another for most of my life, both professionally and personally. During my PAYE career, I produced business reports, marketing copy, and social media content. I’ve also written online biographies for celebrities and keynote speakers, as well as blog content for national companies.
Alongside this, I am a freelance book reviewer whose reviews have appeared in Good Housekeeping UK and on the educational website Twinkl. I also run my own blog and social media accounts, where I share regular reviews and recommendations. I have reviewed over 2,000 books since 2021 and share these reviews with my audience of over 10,000 across platforms. https://booksbyyourbedside.org/
